We have awarded more than $450,000 in monetary and product support to schools, community groups and not-for-profits over the past 16 years through the Canon Oceania Grants program and delivered more than 600 PPE care packages¹ to local customers during the height of COVID-19. Last year, we raised more than $50,000 for OzHarvest in their Community CookOff.
In 2021, we unveiled ‘Reflect’, Canon Australia’s
first-ever Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our RAP commits us to strengthening relationships with First Nations stakeholders, demonstrating respect through increased understanding of the traditional owners of the lands we live and work on, and creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at Canon Australia.
Globally, we are actively working on a number of initiatives, from supporting the advancement of gender equality in rugby through our partnership
with the Rugby World Cup. Canon’s business
multi-function devices were behind the scenes, powering the women’s Rugby World Cup back office, while our desktop printers were installed at the gates to help give important information to fans. And as always, our Canon Professional Services team was on the ground to ensure the pro photographers capturing the action didn’t miss a frame.
We are also committed to ridding the world of modern slavery. In 2021 we have worked hard to add 1200 suppliers to our modern slavery risk assessment, ensuring that our business partners treat their workers humanely and pay them a responsible living wage.
