EOS R1 Firmware Update version 1.0.1

Changes:
Firmware Version 1.0.1 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes.

1. The Wi-Fi connection status is identifiable by the color of the [FTP Transfer Icon].

2. Add [Protect Images] and [Rating] during FTP Transfer.

3. Changing [Custom Shooting Mode] is possible while writing images to the media (BUSY).

4. Fixes an issue, in which the camera may become inoperable if a lens that does not communicate with the camera is attached, and shooting is performed repeatedly while using HDMI output.

5. Fixes an issue, in which the camera may become inoperable if an image is cropped while other images are being transferred to an FTP server.

6. Fixes an issue, in which Err70 may occur when using an application software such as Camera Connect, and the load on the smartphone increases.

7. Fixed an issue, in which, when panning diagonally while using a monopod, the image stabilization may become unstable in movie mode.

8. Fixes an issue, in which, when copying multiple selected images in camera, all images may not be copied.

9. Fixes an issue, in which a strobe from another manufacturer may fire during pre-continuous shooting.

10. Fixes an issue, in which when pressing a button, to which the ”Screen off” function is assigned, immediately after shooting, it may take a long time for the screen to turn off.

11. Fixes an issue, in which Look File settings may apply to multiple custom picture files.

12. Fixes an issue, in which when many shooting information items are displayed and multi-controller is operated, the AF frame movement may not be smooth.

13. Implements a fix to include custom pictures when saving camera settings.

14. Improves operation stability during network communication.

If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.1, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Preparations for the Firmware Update:
In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (EOSR1101.FIR / file size: XX,XXX,XXX bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures.
