Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 26 July 2023: Canon Australia today announces a new addition to its award winning range of imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX multifunction devices, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C359i Series. This series delivers a broader, stronger offering to its customers with enhanced security features and additional paper capacity options. A compact performer which can produce up to 35 pages per minute, this model is user-friendly, highly reliable and completes daily tasks with high quality and maximum flexibility. Designed to support the evolving needs of businesses, the cloud-connected DX C359i Series of imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX printers also includes collaboration tools for hybrid working.
The updated DX C359i Series printers are equipped with device, data and network protection for security at every stage of the document lifecycle. The latest security firmware offers end-to-end protection and supports encrypted file sharing. Importantly for IT Managers, the series also features TLS 1.3, WPA3 and SMB 3.1.1 support.
When the device needs to be accessed remotely by administrators via the devices' remote user interface (RUI), two-factor authentication can be implemented by using a one-time password in conjunction with a mobile device before access is granted. It features the Trusted Platform Module v2.0 for stronger encryption, SSD Password Lock & Encryption, as well as Verify System at Start-up and McAfee® Embedded Control, which helps protect critical data in multifunction devices. To ensure protection from malicious cyber-attacks, businesses can also gain visibility thanks to secure status visualisation.
Supported by a Security Settings Navigator utility, the DX C359i Series allows administrators and IT Managers to apply optimum settings required for different network environments, without the need for a security specialist.
Canon’s devices enable businesses to optimise remote and hybrid working thanks to uniFLOW Online¹. This award winning cloud print solution allows users to work smarter and faster, while the entire print environment can be managed through the cloud by controlling access and enhancing document security.
Offering a responsible design and efficient operation, the DX C359i Series reduces the impact on the environment by minimising waste with default print settings including 2-sided, and black and white options. Additionally, a combination of Canon's On-Demand fixing technology and Sleep Recovery triggers, minimises power consumption and helps to achieve quick warm-up times.
Yoshinori Moritaki, General Manager Product Marketing at Canon Oceania comments, “As the working world continues to evolve, so must the technology that supports it. With security top of mind for many businesses, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C359i Series provides advanced secure features including McAfee® Embedded Control. Its efficient design reduces environmental impact through waste saving default print settings and technology that minimises power consumption. Fast scan speeds of up to 190ipm makes the DX C359i Series ideal for digitisation, collaboration and sharing of documents. This model offers a great solution for businesses transitioning to a hybrid work environment, providing print devices which support their processes and workflows.”
