Sydney, Australia, 23 October 2018 – Canon Australia has today unveiled its smallest and lightest Mini Photo Printer, the perfect accessory for those who enjoy snapping and sharing treasured moments with family and friends. From occasions like birthdays and weddings, to special memories at holidays and backyard barbeques, the Canon Mini Photo Printer enables users to create mementos of their favourite shots and save them from a ‘digital death’. Photos can be printed directly from smartphones, tablets, or social media apps to the Mini Photo Printer via Bluetooth, using the Canon Mini Print app.

For smartphone photographers seeking to stay portable and on the go with their devices, this sleek and compact portable printer has an extensive list of stand-out, user-friendly features through the Canon Mini Print app. Free to download from on iOS and Android devices from mid-November 2018, the app includes creative filters, such as photo frames and stickers, augmented reality (AR) face distortion, as well as additional photo-editing tools including added text, fun frames and the option to draw. These features encourage users to creatively add fun enhancements and share those distinctive memories in real time in either a 2” x 3” inch print or sticker output option.

With customisation at its foundation, this printer, through the Canon Mini Print app, offers the option to print not only individual smudge-free and water-resistant 2” x 3” prints or stickers, but also a tile print that is made up of four or nine prints, as well as over ten unique collage templates that print on one 2x3 photo. Never worry about ink
The Canon Mini Photo Printer features Zero Ink™ Technology from ZINK™, meaning no ink is required as the printer uses 2” x 3” ZINK™ paper which is infused with colour crystals that melt and print brilliant, bright colours when heated.

Additionally, each pack of paper comes with one blue ZINK SMART SHEET™. Calibrating the Mini Photo Printer to the photo paper in that pack to produce an image that meets Canon’s high-quality image standards. The rechargeable battery-powered portable printer comes with a starter pack of 10 x Canon ZINK™ photo paper that is smudge-free and water resistant, with additional paper available for purchase in packs of 20 or 50.
