To Users of the Flash “SPEEDLITE EL-5”

Concerning the Flash SPEEDLITE EL-5, the following issue has been confirmed. Details and our customer support measures are stated below.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to users who have been inconvenienced by this issue. Going forward, we will spare no effort in our quality management to make sure our customers can use our products with confidence.

Issue
For some of the products, the battery drains faster when the power is OFF. Even when a battery has been fully charged, it may deplete completely in approximately 2 days.

Affected Product
Flash “SPEEDLITE EL-5”
The products concerned are those, for which the fourth digit from the left of the serial number is “0”, and that have had this issue confirmed.


Support
Units that are within the scope of affected units and exhibit this issue will be inspected/repaired free of charge. Furthermore, kindly note that any inspection/repair other than for the issue above that is performed on an affected unit is subject to a fee.

Period of Accepting Free Repairs
Our free repairs service will start on 23 September 2024. Repairs will be accepted until 30th September 2026
