Setting AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) (PowerShot G7 X)

When the camera is set to AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) mode, three consecutive images are captured at different exposure levels (standard exposure, underexposure, and then overexposure) each time you shoot. You can adjust the amount of underexposure and overexposure (relative to standard exposure) from –2 to +2 stops in 1/3-stop increments.

Caution

The following section explains the setting procedures when the camera’s shooting mode has been set to [Program AE] ().

AEB shooting is only available in [ ] mode.

Continuous shooting is not available in this mode.

In order to use [AEB shooting] (), the [Shooting mode] must be set to one of the following modes:

-[Custom] () [Aperture priority AE] (), [Shutter speed priority AE] (), [Program AE] ()

1. Turn the camera on.

2. Press the ⋖FUNC./SET⋗ () button.

3. Press the ⋖⋗⋖⋗ buttons to choose [ ] in the menu, and then press the ⋖⋗⋖⋗ buttons or turn the ⋖⋗ dial to choose [ ].

4. Press the ⋖⋗ button, and then adjust the setting by pressing the ⋖ ⋗⋖⋗ buttons or turning the ⋖ ⋗ dial.

5. Press the shutter button all the way down to shoot.

Caution

If exposure compensation is already in use, the value specified for that function is treated as the standard exposure level for this function.

You can also access the setting screen of step 4 by pressing the ⋖⋗ button when the exposure compensation screen is displayed.

Three shots are taken, regardless of any quantity specified in [ ]

In [Blink Detection] mode, this function is only available for the final shot.
