ISO Speed Settings
Set the ISO speed (image sensor's sensitivity to light) to suit the ambient light level. In Basic Zone modes, the ISO speed is set automatically.
ISO Speed Guide
ISO Speed | Shooting Scene (No flash) | Flash Range |

100 - 400 | Sunny outdoors | The higher the ISO speed, the farther the effective flash range will extend. |

Changing ISO Speed
1. Set the power switch to ⋖ON⋗.
2. Press the ⋖ISO⋗ button.
3. While looking at the LCD panel or in the viewfinder, turn the ⋖⋗ or ⋖⋗ dial.
ISO speed can be set within ISO 100 - ISO 16000 in 1/3-stop increments.
"A" indicates ISO Auto. The ISO speed will be set automatically. (Refer to the section below.)
You can press the ⋖INFO.⋗ button to set it to [AUTO].
ISO Speed "A" (AUTO) Setting
If the ISO speed is set to "A", the actual ISO speed setting will be displayed when you press the shutter button halfway. As indicated below, the ISO speed will be set automatically to suit the shooting mode.

*2: If fill-in flash will cause overexposure, ISO speed may be reduced, down to a possible minimum of ISO 100. In < : > and <> modes, if you use bounce flash with an external Speedlite, the ISO speed will be automatically set within ISO 400 - ISO 1600.
