Content Id: 8202675800

Solution

On this camera, you can select [ : Fine ] or [ : Super Fine ] for the compression ratio regardless of the recording pixel setting (size).

Caution

[ ] and ] indicate different levels of image quality depending on the extent of compression. At the same size (number of pixels), [ ] offers higher image quality. Although [ ] images have slightly lower image quality, more fit on a memory card.

If the compression ratio cannot be changed, please refer to the procedures below.

1. Turn the camera on.

2. Set the shooting mode to [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], or [ ] mode.

Caution

The compression ratio cannot be set to [ ] in modes other than those indicated in the image above. In [ ] mode, the selectable options vary depending on the assigned shooting mode.

3. Press the ⋖⋗ button to display the menu screen, and then touch [ Image quality ] () on the left side of the screen.

4. Touch one of the options with [ ] to select it, and then press the ⋖⋗ button.

5. The shooting screen reappears.

If the [ ] icon appears at the top of the screen, the setting is complete.
