This is a Picture Style designed to make blue skies and green trees more vivid. See also: Picture Style

LCD monitor

Digital SLR cameras have an LCD monitor on the back. It can display the captured images and camera settings.

Long lenses

Lenses whose focal length is longer than 50mm. Such lenses are effective for shooting faraway subjects, making them look closer.

Landscape lenses

These are wide angle lenses which give you the option of taking in more information without having to take a step back. These lenses enable greater width to be captured.

Large DOF

the foreground to the background is in focus.

Light Meter

A built-in light measuring device, that decides how much light is needed, based on the ISO, to give you correct exposure.

Live view

This enables you to compose images in real time on the LCD screen on the back of the camera. Great for shooting in confined places or over crowds. Consult your manual for details.
