Canon EOS 350D wins prestigious EISA award for Camera of the Year
Canon, a leader in photographic and imaging technology, has been awarded European Camera of the Year 2005-2006 for the EOS 350D by the prestigious European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA). The award is the second major honour for the EOS 350D, coming on the back of a Best Entry Level Digital SLR of the Year 2005 award in April from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).

Judges comments:
"Canon's EOS 350D digital SLR provides an excellent blend of speed, performance and features. It offers 8 MegaPixel resolution in a very compact, easy-to-use package, and delivers vivid images from its CMOS sensor."

"The Digic II imaging engine allows instant start up, imperceptible shutter lag, fast image processing and low power consumption."

"With great ergonomics and the provision for full manual operation, the EOS 350D is set to become a favorite for both beginners and advanced amateurs alike."

EISA Awards

The EISA Awards are chosen annually by panels representing nearly 50 prominent Photo, Video, Audio, Home Theatre and Mobile Electronics magazines from over 18 European countries. Every year, the EISA Awards recognise new products that combine the most advanced technology, the most desirable features, the ultimate expression of design, the most satisfying ergonomics and the greatest value for money. Canon will be presented with their award at this year's IFA fair in Berlin, Germany.
