Canon Australia has held environmental management system certification since 2002. During 2006 and 2007 the scope of the system was significantly broadened to ensure that it was based on the increasingly stringent Canon Inc. global environmental management system and to include Canon New Zealand's nine branches as well as those of its subsidiary Lamberts and Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA). Click here to view the certificate Canon Oceania Mid-Range Environmental Plan Canon Oceania Environmental Management System Manual Measuring Performance Canon Oceania Mid-Range Environmental Plan In order to strengthen its global environmental management, Canon Inc. established in 2005 a global mid-range plan for the period 2006-2008. The overriding goal was to double the company's eco efficiency by 2010 on the basis of 2000 figures. The plan also covers goals for environmental management systems, products, and resource conservation and energy management at operational sites. Separate targets are set for manufacturing and sales companies, with the targets raised each year. Performance against the plan by all associated companies is rigorously monitored twice yearly by Canon's Global Environmental Management Headquarters. Canon Oceania continues to improve its year on year environmental performance, currently ranking equal first out of 17 Canon global sales companies.  |
