Canon's local research and development company CiSRA is committed to innovative and business-driven research, providing advanced and simple solutions for local customers as well as for products that are sold worldwide. A strong contributor to the local community, CiSRA sponsors research at several universities and has close working relationships with Australian R&D groups and companies.

In practice, this means building on the success of the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark Program as well as Canon's own toner cartridge recycling program and actively working with industry and government in Australia and New Zealand to develop effective product stewardship programs for all of our products. We will also continue to educate our staff in the importance of reducing our environmental impact, and implement waste and energy reduction programs at all sites and in our logistics activities.
This policy applies to all Canon Oceania companies including Canon Australia, Canon New Zealand, Canon Finance, Lamberts and Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA).
